I was born and raised in the South Bay and find this to be a great place to live and work. Twenty five years ago, after getting my BS degree in Economics from University of Utah, I started selling real estate while waiting for a real job. The first office I worked at was Century 21 South Bay which was owned and operated by my mom and dad, Mike and Jean Mullin. Well here I am still selling property and waiting for a real job.
Over the years I realized there are some things I love about selling property. I enjoy the relationships with my clients, I love negotiating deals, and I love helping my clients accomplish their real estate goals. Most of the other parts of real estate, especially the self promotion/advertising and paperwork, I don't enjoy. That being said here comes some self promoition. .
I have sold property in every South Bay city, except for behind the gates in Rolling Hills yet, in price ranges from $80,000 to $5,100,000. My focus over the years has been residential property however I am doing more and more income property because in this down market and with the low interest rates it is time to buy investment/income property. I enjoy working with with both buyers and sellers and I do not focus on one small geographic area. I work the entire South Bay and beyond.
I pride myself in my negotiating skills and my knowledge of the market and the area. I am not a pushy agent, but I get the job done!! This is what keeps me in the upper echelon of real estate agents across the country. I have been a member of Remax's Platinum and/or 100% club ever since joining the company and was in the top 1% of Prudential real estate nationwide with my former company. In 2009 I was inducted into the Remax Hall of Fame and in 2010 I was a "Top Ten" agent out of the close to 300 Remax Palos Verdes agents.
I live right by the beach with my wife Hayley, 16 year old daughter Morgan, and 11 year old son Chase. My greatest joy is watching my kids grow up and I often feel like a kid playing grown up. For fun I surf, kiteboard, snowboard, and I love photography.
The flexible schedule of Realtor gives me the freedom to give back to the community. This manifests itself mostly as a volunteer coach. I been involved in coaching many soccer, volleyball, basketball teams and have taught numerous people to surf. There are a lot of great kids and parents I have gotten to know over the years from coaching. The future of the South Bay is in good hands with these kids coming up.
At the close of escrow I offer free surfing lessons or a free custom surfboard to my clients. The surfing lessons can include the entire family if desired and it is always fun time. Surfing and the beach are a huge part of the South Bay community it is very gratifying to watch someone stand up on their first wave.
Call, text or email me for you are buying or selling in the South Bay. If you're not in the market now but you know someone who is then I would you refer me to them so I can help.
Have a great day,
Dan Mullin
